Let's Build It!

Lowe's has a program called Build and Grow. The program is basically a building clinic for the kids. The kids receive a kit to build something, for October it was a haunted house the opened up so you could put candy in it. There is a "work bench" set up with little hammers and space for the kids to build. The first time they go, the receive goggles and an apron. Every time they come back for a new project, the receive a new iron-on patch to put on their apron to show what they have already done.
And the best part- it is completely free!

The kiddos had a great time building and we will defiantly be coming back for more. Other chain hardware stores offer the same program with a different name. So if you have one in your town, check them out, because it is a lot of fun for the whole family to build something together. Not to mention that it is free and the kids get a toy out of it.

Marietta Marketplace

We are loving living in Marietta. There are fun things to do all the time around here, like the "Marietta Market Place" which happens annually. It is the perfect Saturday morning thing to do  during the Fall.

There are lots of antiques, apple cider and pumpkins. It feels just like Autumn should.

There were lots of vendors selling crafts and fair trade things. And Peanut got herself this adorable doll that she named "Zomprincess".

The market place happens in front of the Armory in town. And Truett never goes by the Armory without getting his picture taken with the canon. It was a chilly but great day. Autumn is by far my favorite season, so this is my kind of event. What is your favorite season?

The fog

One of my favorite things about living by the river is the fog. It's like a gentle blanket covering everything. and when it's lifting from the water, it's like a thousand souls rising to heaven. The kid like to say that we are driving through the clouds- which I guess, is technically not wrong.

Any one else enjoys a good fog? What is the best way to photograph it?

Pretty Marietta

We have been loving our new little town. Awesome sunsets and pretty views everywhere you look. I wanted to share the beauty with you lovelies. So here are a few of the things that I've been seeing.

I did want to put a little disclaimer here- I am not a photographer. I just snaps pictures whenever I see something pretty. Believe me, my photos do not do justice to the real view. But I wanted to share it anyway.
