100 Happy Days- Day 10

While doing the 100 happy Days challenge, I realize that my kids are usually the thing that makes me the happiest. and even though there is nothing wrong with that, I wanted to make sure that I took the time to look for other things that also make me happy.
So far in this challenge, I have learned that happiness is a matter of focus. If you spend your days focusing on the bad and the negative, you will be sad and bitter. The moment you decide to look for the things that make you happy, and you focus on the good in life, that bad doesn't seem so bad and you are instantly happier.

My parents went to Brazil a few weeks ago to do my cousins wedding and came back with all kinds of goodies. These goodies are really special to me- they taste like my childhood. This is my comfort food. When I eat it, I can close my eyes and I feel like I'm & years old again, ad back in Brazil. My life is here now and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but it feels really good to "time travel" in a single bite.

Also, my sister Dhanny*, sent me this AWESOME Natura hand lotion. Now, anyone that knows me, knows that I can't stand things with smells. I have a very sensitive nose (I call it the "Super Sniffer"), and I can smell things from really far away, so I don't use perfumes, of strong smelling lotions. Everything smells so strong to me, that it all smells bad. This lotion is different, the smell is so faint and naturals, I actually like it. Also, it makes my hands feel amazing, as well as straighting my nails.

The food/lotion combination has made me one happy gal!

*I feel like I should explain that she is not really my sister, but she has been in my life for so long and knows me so well, I can't think of another way to describe her. Our families are so close, that is hard to remember that there is no blood relation. Anyone else with people like that in their lives?

100 Happy Days- Day 9

Here is another catching up post on the 100 Happy Days Challenge.

Is hard to know how much are the kids learning, or how well home school is going because there are no standardised testing for preschool and kindergarten. So when we do things a little differently and I realize that the kids have learned more than what I realized, I get very happy. The kids used foam letter and some magnet letter to form words they knew, and wrote them in cursive afterwords. It was great to see just how much they already know.
Any one else doing the challenge? How is it going with you? Feeling happier yet?

100 Happy Days- Day 8

Hi guys, I know I have been terrible at keeping up with the 100 Happy Days posts. I have however been great at sniping my happy moments. I am not too worry about the posting part of the challenge, because I am truly doing this for myself and no one else. Also, I blog for fun, with no obligation, so I sometimes don't get to it as often as I would like too.

I love how these three have the same sense of humor. I left them at the office and when I came back, all three of them where sitting on same chair, pretending to be asleep. And when they "woke up" they got a tickle attack from the Hubby.
I just love these three so much, nothing makes me happier than seeing them smile.

100 Happy Days- Day 7

So far, Day 7 of the 100 Happy Days, was the happiest day so far, thanks to the great weather. It felt so good to have some sunshine and no snow anywhere in the ground. It was really windy, but Peanut's hair looked extra cute flying all over the place. A sunny day was an all-day happy-day.

I love that is finally feeling like Spring. I'm feeling so inspired by the sunshine. Anyone else feeling inspired? Hope your days are being happy too.

100 Happy Days- Day 6

I was so happy to give my kids a good day today. Truett got to ice skate for a really long time today (soory about the phobe pictures, I didn't have my camera with me). After his regular skating class, his god sister came for a sleep over and they got to skate together. Meanwhile Charisma, who is terrified of getting on the ice, had a daddy daughter date getting frozen yogurt. It was a long, but fun day.

Join the 100 Happy Days Challenge too- You'll be happy you did! (see what I did there?)
