Fire!!!

 

This past week the fire department burned one of the buildings at camp for a training.  

 

 

 

 

 

The kids had such a great time watching the fire, and the firemen were so nice to them. They gave them little plastic helmets and "Junior Fire Fighter" stickers. The building had an termite problem and the fire was a win-win for everyone: the termite problem was taking care of, the firemen got an extra training and we got a great show!

Fire safety is one of the requirement for homeschooling in the state of Ohio, and I believe my kids have learned more watching this fire and talking to the fire man.

Truett is planning to share his Halloween candy with them. I guess he understood how important they are.
