Little Bits- Our New Town

My husband and I are officers in the Salvation Army, and every few year we are relocated to a new place. Six weeks ago, we moved to our new home in Marietta, Ohio. A town that I had honestly never heard about until I was told that we were moving there. But a town that we have, very quickly, fallen in love with.

Little Bits- Valentine's Day

 

Valentine's day was a blast! We had such a full day, and the kids got to share the Love in more ways than one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The kids were very excited for Valentine's Day. We had already made a banner to decorate the house, we also painted the windows and made cards to mail for some people we love. The kids wanted to make sure they were wearing red. And Peanut got a special Valentine's hairdo.

 

 Hubby surprised them with cards and balloons and me with roses. We all went to a Valentine's lunch at Starbucks and from there we went to a couple of nursing homes to pass out Valentine Cards (I got the cutest pics of them interecting with the residents, but I don't think I can share those pictures without their permision).

 

We finished the day with heart shaped quesadillas for dinner. It was a really good day.

We have been having fall days in between snow days. But since I love fall time, I figure we should get some more "leave-covered-ground" pictures before the snow took over everything.

Little Bits- Just Because

 

Have you ever had a day that you took a bunch of pictures for no reason? I had a one of those yesterday!

 

 

 

 

The kids got a box one the mail from my parents with new outfits in it. Charisma was so excited, she put her and Ruthie's dress on right away. Such a pretty girl, with such a pretty doll, in such pretty dresses, I just had to pull my camera out. Truett didn't want to try on new outfits, but he was happy to out and play.

Little bits- So busy

I'm so sorry for the lack of posts the last couple of weeks. They have been so incredibly busy that I have not had a chance to sit in front of my computer for more than 2 minutes at the time. And I have to be honest, there have been a few days that I just didn't feel like pulling the camera out. I just enjoyed the moment without having to record it. Anyone one else ever had one of those days?
But don't worry, I have not forgotten about you lovelies.

So here is a little of what has been happening.

 I got a new hair cut! (I'll have better pics soon)
I started doing yoga and I'm on a mission to loose weight.

The kids picked out their Halloween costumes. And we have been loving the fall weather.

I promise to have more posts the next few days to catch up on it all.

Working for the Salvation Army means that it is already holiday season for us, so last week was crazy, getting people registered for Thanksgiving and Christmas help and finding people ad families to help host our Angel Trees or adopt a family. If you want to help people this season, find a Salvation Army near you and ask how you can help this Christmas. You can volunteer serving food, distributing and/ or giving toys or adopting a family.
